Experimental principle
While maintaining the association of histones and DNA, the chromatin is cut into very small pieces and precipitated by using a biological antibody corresponding to a specific histone marker. This technology is mainly used to analyze the binding of the promoter and the transcription factor, whether the target gene is active, or to analyze the target gene of a known protein (transcription factor).
