In situ hybridization
Experimental principle
In situ hybridization is a technique that uses labeled nucleic acid molecules as probes to detect specific nucleic acid molecules in situ in tissue cells. Make a labeled nucleic acid single strand or probe containing a specific sequence hybridize with a complementary nucleic acid strand or target nucleic acid in tissue cells under appropriate conditions, and then detect the labeled probe by autoradiography or immunocytochemistry , So as to display specific DNA or RNA molecules in situ in the cell. It can detect mRNA, microRNA, LncRNA, DNA, and can also be applied to specimens from various species, including mammals, plant specimens, etc., and can also be applied to tissue microarrays.
